The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Dropeta. 16 minutes into the game, Igor Txurio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Dropeta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curupaity the free kick. A collision led to La Dropeta getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Salvador Dubardo hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Amado Gonsalvo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curupaity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Gonsalvo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Errolan during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicasio Beltza didn't quite understand what happened when in the 29 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Cecilio Bittor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marcos Bartolome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Curupaity's Anibal Vedillo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Aquilino Frances made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Ipar in the 40th minute of play. If Patricio Hodei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Emanuel Ipar made the kick off in the second half. Amado Gonsalvo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Aquilino Frances made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Igor Domingues sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Dubardo took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Bartolome. Marcos Bartolome dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 59th minute, Salvador Dubardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 61 minutes, Salvador Dubardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Dropeta and the Curupaity players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Curupaity booed when La Dropeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Emanuel Ipar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Dropeta's Aquilino Frances was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Curupaity got a corner. La Dropeta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joaquin Aurre ran over to the corner to take the kick. Igor Txurio tried in the 64th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Aquilino Frances a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-2. La Dropeta's Aquilino Frances proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save La Dropeta from getting a goal against them. Aquilino Frances made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Amado Gonsalvo sent off a good shot on target. Aquilino Frances was a little too slow when Amado Gonsalvo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-3. Marcos Bartolome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Dubardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amado Gonsalvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Frances having to interfere. With a little luck, La Dropeta's Aquilino Frances got control of the ball when Amado Gonsalvo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Salvador Dubardo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the La Dropeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Dubardo couldn't finish the play. Anibal Vedillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aquilino Frances tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Hodei's late challenge caught a Curupaity's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Hodei helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to La Dropeta getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Patricio Hodei hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Amado Gonsalvo made a precise shot to the right of Aquilino Frances. La Dropeta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Although La Dropeta had been in control for most of the match, Curupaity still came away with the win.
