Silvestre Bilbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ipar in the 8th minute of the match. Cristian Frederico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Bartolome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes Curupaity's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manuel Hever who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ensenada FC's Manuel Hever to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Bartolome despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Silvestre Bilbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Ipar, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Amado Gonsalvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Bilbo having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Curupaity's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Frederico came free, but Marcos Bartolome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florentino Santios short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Marcos Bartolome to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Emanuel Ipar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Ipar couldn't finish the play. After the first half Curupaity were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Emanuel Ipar came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Curupaity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Ipar couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Cristian Frederico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ensenada FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Curupaity had controlled the match.
