Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cobo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Remigio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blas Giro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Gasteiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Natal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnoldo Transito scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blas Giro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Baldomiro Blanco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Florida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 29th match minute, Deportivo Florida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. Cobo's Emiliano Natal got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herminio Gasteiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Blas Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Etor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Cobo booed when Deportivo Florida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Transito didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emiliano Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Cobo's Blas Giro got control of the ball when Baldomiro Blanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonardo Etor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Incendio in the 63rd minute of the match. Arnoldo Transito kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cobo's Marcos Peruxu tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Blas Giro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Gasteiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Florida's zone, Hernan Remigio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Etor came out of the goal and Hernan Remigio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Natal in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Etor saved Deportivo Florida from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Hernan Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cobo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Remigio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Etor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blas Giro made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Baldomiro Blanco sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Herminio Gasteiz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Florida's Herminio Gasteiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blas Giro. That made the score 2-3 after 88 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Natal in the 92nd minute of play forced Deportivo Florida's goalkeeper Leonardo Etor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
