An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Pirmin in the 13th minute of play forced Vieja del agua's goalkeeper Alfonso Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vieja del agua's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodosio Lapurdi was slow to take the kick. During this time Viel FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Vieja del agua's goalie and right to Dante Etor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Vieja del agua's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 18th minute, Marcial Tipi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jürgen Kalda. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 22 minutes, Marcial Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vieja del agua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Tipi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Vieja del agua's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Maore came free, but Alfonso Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Emilio Maore put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfonso Monico. The audience was convinced that Emilio Maore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Monico was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Teodosio Lapurdi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Alfonso Monico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viel FC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Nemesio Xabier kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Viel FC's Teodosio Lapurdi got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vieja del agua's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emilio Maore 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. In the 65th minute, Silviu Ganea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vieja del agua's goalkeeper Alfonso Monico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilio Maore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silviu Ganea was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 72 played minutes Viel FC got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Ganea. Matias Sein struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jürgen Kalda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vieja del agua. Alfonso Monico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodosio Lapurdi's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Eulalio Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jürgen Kalda having to interfere. Alfonso Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Etor in the 83rd minute of play. If Enzo Arixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. After 94 minutes, Alvaro Gumaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vieja del agua and the Viel FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dante Etor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Monico having to interfere.
