The tension between the C.A.Independiente and the HUH players grew even worse after the yellow card. 12 minutes into the match, Delmiro Petri notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C.A.Independiente's Geir Bø. Geir Bø was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiburcio Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Asur in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to HUH getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Evelio Eder hit a great ball. After 20 minutes, Maximiliano Isias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HUH and the C.A.Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maximiliano Isias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Txilar. HUH's Bernabe Otsando got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Abel Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, Evelio Eder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HUH and the C.A.Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evelio Eder kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Simon Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A.Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to HUH getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Delmiro Petri hit a great ball. Tiburcio Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Maju in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Jacobo Eufrasio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HUH's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Independiente the free kick. After 38 played minutes HUH got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Eufrasio. 43 minutes into the match, HUH's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Maju came free, but Tiburcio Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionisio Lartaun's late challenge caught a HUH's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Lartaun helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Lartaun. After the first half HUH were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmiro Petri was the one to do the kick off. Geir Bø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Eder in the 54th minute of the match. Fabian Maju took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiburcio Fernandez. Tiburcio Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Geir Bø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Isias in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Delmiro Petri made a precise shot to the right of Geir Bø. C.A.Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Simon Asur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Maju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, C.A.Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Asur to maneuver through the defense. Although C.A.Independiente had been in control for most of the match, HUH still came away with the win.
