Geir Bø was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vieja del agua's Alfonso Monico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Cordearo in the 17th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, C.A.Independiente's Elvio Cordearo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Monico was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vieja del agua's goalkeeper Alfonso Monico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elvio Cordearo in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Monico saved Vieja del agua from getting behind. After 33 minutes, Elvio Cordearo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.Independiente and the Vieja del agua players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Vieja del agua booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Cordearo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcial Tipi during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcial Tipi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vieja del agua's zone, Fabian Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Monico came out of the goal and Fabian Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Vieja del agua got a corner. C.A.Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matias Sein ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Matias Sein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geir Bø quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 44 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Geir Bø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Tipi.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elvio Cordearo was the one to do the kick off. Elvio Cordearo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfonso Monico came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvio Cordearo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 52nd minute. Alfonso Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Cordearo in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's David Cristofor got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Fabian Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alfonso Monico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvio Cordearo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvio Cordearo in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Monico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Maju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Monico having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Elvio Cordearo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfonso Monico, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Vieja del agua getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Matias Sein hit a great ball. A collision led to C.A.Independiente getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elpidio Txilar hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Elvio Cordearo made a precise shot to the right of Alfonso Monico. Vieja del agua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Alfonso Monico was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Fabian Maju capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabian Maju really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. When the final whistle sounded C.A.Independiente left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vieja del agua.
