But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Valiente couldn't finish the play. Saturnino Bibiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Ignacio Etxepare nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saturnino Bibiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ignacio Etxepare scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saturnino Bibiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Ciceron in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efthimis Karkavilas saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. German Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Fortin Bajada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Vincente didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Fortin Bajada's German Ciceron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efthimis Karkavilas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustas Sabeckas got free with Efthimis Karkavilas in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ignacio Etxepare to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Mario Figueroa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the Fortin Bajada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Ciceron in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efthimis Karkavilas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Fortin Bajada booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Claudinei Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fortin Bajada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. After 65 played minutes Fortin Bajada got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Aznar. Saturnino Bibiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Eduino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Valiente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Bibiano having to interfere. Nicasio Eduino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Mario Figueroa hit a great ball. German Ciceron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Ignacio Etxepare's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Saturnino Bibiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Ignacio Etxepare slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Saturnino Bibiano. That made the score 0-3 after 80 minutes of play. In the 84th minute, Camilo Ospin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Saturnino Bibiano. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 87th minute, Mariano Jerold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saturnino Bibiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Etxepare in the 90th minute of play. Eulalio Valiente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Saturnino Bibiano made a huge save. When Augustas Sabeckas came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Fortin Bajada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustas Sabeckas couldn't finish the play. Boca Juniors played a much better game than Fortin Bajada and deserved their victory. The Fortin Bajada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
