The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiburcio Eron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Micael in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Brun in the 19th minute of play forced Estela's goalkeeper Ruperto Ostots to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Muñoz FC booed when Estela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Javiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Ostots showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Elvio Unax fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Ostots having to interfere. When Godofredo Brun fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muñoz FC's protests and gave Godofredo Brun a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Muñoz FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Godofredo Brun hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Estela's Edelmiro Micael got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Estela's Ruperto Ostots proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Estela from getting a goal against them. Nayden Zhotev kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ruperto Ostots showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Etxatxu in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Estela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elvio Unax fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Elvio Unax got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edelmiro Micael was the one to do the kick off. Muñoz FC's Godofredo Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosme Ignatius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Tiburcio Eron made a huge save. In the 60th minute, Elvio Unax got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62ndth minute of the game Edelmiro Micael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muñoz FC's Tiburcio Eron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Muñoz FC's Alvaro Etxatxu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Edelmiro Micael took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiburcio Eron. Tiburcio Eron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Estela's Ruperto Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Brun in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estela's Evaristo Dayam got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Godofredo Brun notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Estela's Ruperto Ostots. Ruperto Ostots was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Muñoz FC's zone, Edelmiro Micael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Eron came out of the goal and Edelmiro Micael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Muñoz FC's Celestino Alfonso got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Estela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
