The referee ignored D.H. Pergamino's protests and gave Guillermo Madaleno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, D.H. Pergamino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Madaleno to maneuver through the defense. Mabu en Jarrita's Enzo Fidencio got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Eguzki got free with Leon Bilbo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Laurin in the 45th minute of play forced D.H. Pergamino's goalkeeper Norberto Haritzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Haritzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Bermund in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Mabu en Jarrita were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Vidal was the one to do the kick off. Lucio Jon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Norberto Haritzeder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Jaime Bermund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Haritzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Jon, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Ignacio Ospetsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Jon in the 78th minute of play forced D.H. Pergamino:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mabu en Jarrita:s goal. Norberto Haritzeder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Jon in the 94th minute. Jaime Bermund struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Norberto Haritzeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mabu en Jarrita. Mauro Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Norberto Haritzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Jon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
