Celso Eyague could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Isidro Toli made a huge save. The supporters of Asado Violento booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Harriet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Hipolito Tonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Toli came out of the goal and Hipolito Tonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Boca Juniors's Alejandro Curcio in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Asado Violento's goalie prevented a goal. When Omar Harriet came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Harriet couldn't finish the play. Omar Harriet scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliciano Estevez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Omar Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejandro Curcio was the one to do the kick off. Feliciano Estevez made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Eriberto Errando sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 66 minutes, Eriberto Errando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Errando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Tonio in the 75th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Hipolito Tonio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Isidro Toli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alejandro Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Omar Harriet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejandro Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Estevez having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Boca Juniors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Asado Violento.
