Sacahumo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Sabino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Orlondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente Mza's zone, Aureliano Gudesteo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Orlondo came out of the goal and Aureliano Gudesteo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Dario Senon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Orlondo. Independiente Mza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Senon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jairo Santiago kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jairo Muc made a kick off. Independiente Mza's Miguel Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Gudesteo in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Independiente Mza getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Antonio Gelacio hit a great ball. Gavino Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Maule in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Donio saved Sacahumo FC from getting behind. Independiente Mza's Miguel Orlondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Independiente Mza from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
