Jan-Erik Spetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Aritza in the 11th minute of the match. Romano Aguacero scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Eladio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Matungos F.C.'s Severino Jesco got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Delmar Libertad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Erik Spetz. Matungos F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmar Libertad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Angelino Bidun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jan-Erik Spetz made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Delmar Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abiogenesis's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Libertad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Erik Spetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th match minute, Matungos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Mino to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Libertad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jan-Erik Spetz made a huge save. Santiago Eladio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arturo Iturri went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th match minute, Matungos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Jesco to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Matungos F.C.'s zone, Jacobo Aritza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Erik Spetz came out of the goal and Jacobo Aritza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes Matungos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Ignado. Jacobo Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jan-Erik Spetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Romano Aguacero fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matungos F.C.'s protests and gave Romano Aguacero a yellow card for diving instead. Romano Aguacero kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Iturri was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Libertad in the 53rd minute of play forced Matungos F.C.'s goalkeeper Jan-Erik Spetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquiles Kimetz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Erik Spetz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernan Orlondon went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the match, Matungos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Libertad came free, but Jan-Erik Spetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Pinto got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Froilan Quintana. In the 80th minute Bartolo Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Spetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Matungos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Dimas to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes, Abiogenesis's Delmar Libertad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Erik Spetz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abiogenesis reached it. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Bartolo Demesio sped through Matungos F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan-Erik Spetz. Matungos F.C. made a substitution. Gavino Iliana replaced Timoteo Dino. When the referee ended the match the Abiogenesis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
