But to his dismay, Erasmo Crispo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th match minute, Cuquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Crispo to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the game, Ivan Ebardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dario Cambiasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pascual Francesco hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Oinatz might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dario Cambiasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnulfo Oinatz ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivan Ebardos short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Dario Cambiasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dario Cambiasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Dino, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's Ivan Ebardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Cambiasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romário Carioca hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Cuquero's Dario Cambiasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Cuquero from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Allison in the 42nd minute of play forced Mean Machine's goalkeeper Jairo Locaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Locaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Allison, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Carmelo Dino made a precise shot to the right of Dario Cambiasso. Cuquero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 minutes Mean Machine's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leon Astrada who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Mean Machine booed when Cuquero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Egun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jairo Locaio made a huge save. Mean Machine's Jairo Locaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Allison in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Pascual Francesco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jairo Locaio. The goal made the score 2-4. Pascual Francesco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jairo Locaio came out and tried to block the shot, but Pascual Francesco slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 66th minute. Erasmo Crispo scored 2-6 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jairo Locaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jairo Locaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Francesco in the 75th minute. With his leg Jairo Locaio managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Cuquero's Silvio Egun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 80 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's Ivan Ebardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Cambiasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualterio Leizarraga hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute Sean Allison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Locaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Crispo got free with Jairo Locaio in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saverio Argider hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Arnulfo Oinatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Cuquero left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mean Machine.
