An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Nuno in the 5th minute of play forced Simpro's goalkeeper Lorenzo Eskuin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silverio Kiliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Simpro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. The Falkland Islands's Jacinto Astigar got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Simpro's goalkeeper Lorenzo Eskuin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Lucero. With his leg Lorenzo Eskuin managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when The Falkland Islands's Cirilo Nuno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 92 minutes into the match, Simpro's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Astigar came free, but Lorenzo Eskuin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo Eskuin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Astigar in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, The Falkland Islands's Silverio Kiliz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The Falkland Islands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
