When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Raimundo Raymond sped through Luvirgienzo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Blasco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristo Malvin got free with Aquilino Osmundo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gladiators's Aquilino Osmundo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Gladiators from getting a goal against them.
