In the 13th minute, Anibal Chayo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los once leones fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Santo Eudoxio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Apolo Aurken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Salvador Sindo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leopoldo Ibar kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Reynaldo Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dadá Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Aurken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Sindo in the 37th minute of play. Uriel Figueroa succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Ayapaso's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Figueroa came free, but Apolo Aurken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Chayo got free with Apolo Aurken in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anibal Chayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Apolo Aurken made a huge save. Cecilio Ixona's late challenge caught a Los once leones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cecilio Ixona helped the player get up and apologised. Cecilio Ixona kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Anibal Chayo made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Aurken. Ayapaso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Uriel Figueroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Aurken having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Los once leones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Guipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 67 minutes, Reynaldo Petrigai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayapaso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Petrigai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaldo Xabier in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá Martinez saved Los once leones from getting behind. Dadá Martinez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubaldo Xabier went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Ayapaso's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Godfredo Odon in the 88th minute. A nice corner shot did that Godfredo Odon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dadá Martinez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jimeno Ekain kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Anselmo Dodorol got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vicente Panfilo. A collision led to Ayapaso getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Raimundo Furtado hit a great ball.
