Nemesio Constancio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Francisco Luke struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Luciano Cordarryl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mazán. Faustino Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Nuno kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Nemesio Constancio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Felipillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mazán's Nemesio Constancio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Dolfos in the 17th minute of play. Zacarias Arnau's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zacarias Arnau helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mazán's Zacarias Arnau got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Anselmo Felipillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Oihan's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Oihan helped the player get up and apologised. Arturo Oihan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th match minute, Mazán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Oihan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Dolfos in the 29th minute of play forced Mazán's goalkeeper Nemesio Constancio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnoldo Cebo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Anselmo Felipillo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Mazán's Nemesio Constancio. Nemesio Constancio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's Gilberto Dolfos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nemesio Constancio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Mazán got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Remigio. After 43 played minutes Mazán got a freekick which was hit by Angel Norino. Mazán's Nemesio Constancio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Olivar in the 45th minute of play. The Mazán players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boca Juniors were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zacarias Arnau to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Zacarias Arnau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mazán's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Arnau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Cordarryl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boca Juniors's Anselmo Felipillo got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mazán's Francisco Luke got a free kick in the 55th minute. Nemesio Constancio made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ignacio Palos sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Nemesio Constancio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Anselmo Felipillo took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nemesio Constancio. Nemesio Constancio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Nemesio Constancio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Felipillo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Cebo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anselmo Felipillos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Nemesio Constancio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luciano Cordarryl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Mazán's Nemesio Constancio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Iturri in the 72nd minute of play. Nemesio Constancio was a little too slow when Faustino Brun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 79thth minute of the game Anselmo Felipillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazán's Nemesio Constancio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Faustino Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boca Juniors's Anselmo Felipillo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anselmo Felipillo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Felipillo couldn't finish the play. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Mauro Inko replaced Anselmo Felipillo. Mauro Inko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Nemesio Constancio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mazán's zone, Mauro Inko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Constancio came out of the goal and Mauro Inko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santo Inautzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Constancio having to interfere. When the match was over Boca Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mazán throughout the match.
