Hugo Curcio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Astor Sasoin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telo Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as RN5's Adilson Andrade slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Saturnino Mikolas. That made the score 3-1 after 33 minutes of play. A collision led to RN5 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Adolfo Sabin hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolfo Sabin was the one to do the kick off.
