After some careless play in the LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO defense, Emiliano Daunte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hipolito Maxin. The LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hipolito Maxin should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, CUBANO's Rogelio Furman got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 9 played minutes LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Garaile. If Gaspar Crispo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Estebano got free with Hipolito Maxin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Crispo came free, but Hipolito Maxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hipolito Maxin was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Gaspar Crispo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gaspar Crispo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Emiliano Daunte struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Hipolito Maxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CUBANO. Edgard Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Joanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Crispo in the 32nd minute of play forced LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO's goalkeeper Hipolito Maxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulino Joanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Daunte got free with Hipolito Maxin in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CUBANO's Gaspar Crispo suffered a concussion in the 38th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 42nd minute, Gonzalo Estebano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Cesaro in the 44th minute of play forced LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO's goalkeeper Hipolito Maxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Mundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Joanes in the 45th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Iker Lertxun put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in CUBANO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO. Paulino Joanes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgard Mundo. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidro Cesaro was the one to do the kick off. Hipolito Maxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Cesaro in the 56th minute of the match. If Gonzalo Estebano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Cesaro in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hipolito Maxin saved LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO from getting behind. Isidro Cesaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hipolito Maxin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidro Cesaro ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from Evelio Beltxe in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CUBANO's Arturo Merexildo. Gonzalo Estebano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th match minute, LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Tulio to maneuver through the defense. Hipolito Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Estebano in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Isidro Cesaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CUBANO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Rogelio Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Estebano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rogelio Furman came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the CUBANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Furman couldn't finish the play. The supporters of CUBANO booed when LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Maxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogelio Furman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Hipolito Maxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO's Hipolito Maxin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Estebano in the 99th minute of play.
