Ladislao Feliu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 19 minutes of play, Academia RC's Leonel Izel made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karsten Jersov was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Academia RC booed when La gloriosa número 6 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Gaufred didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Cipriano Tauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicanor Salvadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Academia RC's Evelio Maule got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 41 minutes, Leonel Izel made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. La gloriosa número 6's Karsten Jersov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Leonel Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The La gloriosa número 6 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Academia RC were winning 1-3.

After a defensive mix-up in Academia RC's zone, Ruben Gaufred stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislao Feliu came out of the goal and Ruben Gaufred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Academia RC booed when La gloriosa número 6 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Gaufred in the 77th minute of the match. Academia RC's Evelio Maule got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Academia RC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
