Jairo Lordi made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Nunez Teyo sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nunez Teyo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Nunez Teyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Corrientes FC booed when Tumbaya 1966 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Vermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ovidio Argi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Lordi came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Corrientes FC's Nunez Teyo. But to his dismay, Nunez Teyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. After 86 played minutes Tumbaya 1966 FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Llorienzo. Tumbaya 1966 FC's Aureliano Ederono got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Nunez Teyo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Lordi. Tumbaya 1966 FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nunez Teyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1.
