In the 3rd minute Isaac Roderigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Isaac Roderigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia RC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO the free kick. After 4 played minutes Academia RC got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Roderigo. In the 6th minute, Isaac Roderigo made a precise shot to the right of Hipolito Maxin. LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Isaac Roderigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hipolito Maxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paulino Joanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Teobaldo Cresitobalo could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Hipolito Maxin however easily saved by the left post. 18 minutes into the match, Academia RC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Joanes came free, but Ladislao Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Flavio Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Feliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO were awarded a corner. Paulino Joanes went to the cornerflag to take it. Celedonio Elequemedo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Hipolito Maxin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Cresitobalo in the 26th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Marquez during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Academia RC booed when LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Bide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Maxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Roderigo in the 36th minute of the match. Octavio Tulio charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavio Tulio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Octavio Tulio hit a great ball. Hipolito Maxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Izel, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Hipolito Maxin made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Isaac Roderigo sent off a good shot on target. After 47 minutes, Leonel Izel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia RC and the LOS PIBES DEL BARRIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Izel hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Joanes to strike the kick off in the second half. Academia RC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Sotero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hipolito Maxin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
