In the 30th minute, Nunez Teyo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ladislao Feliu. The goal made the score 2-0. Ladislao Feliu made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Orlando Fraco sent off a good shot on target. Evelio Maule kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Academia RC's goalkeeper Ladislao Feliu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Cloyo. When Orlando Fraco came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Corrientes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Fraco couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Corrientes FC booed when Academia RC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Elizardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Teyo in the 52nd minute of play forced Academia RC's goalkeeper Ladislao Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Academia RC's Cipriano Tauro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Teodosio Montae hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes, Corrientes FC's Nunez Teyo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ladislao Feliu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Corrientes FC reached it. Lucio Cloyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Feliu having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cipriano Tauro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Godofredo Lop. That made the score 3-2 in the 77 minute of play. Teobaldo Cresitobalo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Godofredo Lop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia RC. Leonel Izel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Godofredo Lop made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Academia RC's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Teyo came free, but Ladislao Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Corrientes FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Lucio Cloyo hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Corrientes FC had won after a very even match.
