The crowd rose to their feet as wolfsburgo HC's Teofilo Valery slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emilio Urko. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. When Cipriano Mitxel fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored wolfsburgo HC's protests and gave Cipriano Mitxel a yellow card for diving instead. Celso Silban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Ganix, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Correas's Alberto Ferrer got a free kick in the 25th minute. 31 minutes into the match, wolfsburgo HC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Ganix came free, but Celso Silban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Platon in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Urko saved Correas from getting behind. Celso Silban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Ganix in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of wolfsburgo HC booed when Correas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Matia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Tamás Sárkány was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. wolfsburgo HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Correas the free kick. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, wolfsburgo HC's goalkeeper Celso Silban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Ganix. Emilio Urko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Valery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Ganix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Celso Silban made a huge save. In the 72nd minute, Nicolas Platon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Urko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Platon in the 74th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Tono Gustav in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Teofilo Valery put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Emilio Urko. Celso Silban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Leheren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Ganix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Celso Silban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Correas's Hermengildo Ganix got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. wolfsburgo HC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
