In the 17th match minute, Caburé Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Deunoro to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes, Fausto Kusko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caburé Athletic and the Guernica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Caburé Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salvador Beila should have stopped the shot. Prudencio Flor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Edorta having to interfere. Leopoldo Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Ruben Itzaina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prudencio Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Caburé Athletic's Prudencio Flor got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Baldomero Ireno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guernica's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Ireno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Beila was a little too slow when Baldomero Ireno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-2. The supporters of Caburé Athletic booed when Guernica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Asteri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prudencio Flor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Higinio Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Caburé Athletic manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Guernica to win.
