To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Arsenal F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Aguiar came free, but Clemente Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josu Gómez got free with Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arsenal F.C.'s Clemente Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Aguiar in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Mario Iruinea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristo Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gianluigi Donnarumma having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Aguiar in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Diego Milito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gianluigi Donnarumma was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. When Cristo Turi came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Arsenal F.C. fans jumped to their feet. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Milito to strike the kick off in the second half. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Milito in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Arsenal F.C. got a corner. F.C Barbarians's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marciano Hartz ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Aguiar in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Cordearo saved Arsenal F.C. from getting behind. If Cristo Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Josu Gómez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
