In the 4thth minute of the game Arnaldo Corderun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garruchos's Severiano Lawrence was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basarab Seţeanu took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severiano Lawrence. Severiano Lawrence dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Severiano Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Corderun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, FC Schalke 04's Timoteo Palben dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Severiano Lawrence successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Seţeanu in the 16th minute of play forced Garruchos's goalkeeper Severiano Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Corderun took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severiano Lawrence. Severiano Lawrence dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Federico Verna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. David De Gea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garruchos's Severiano Lawrence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Garruchos from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Seţeanu in the 26th minute of play forced Garruchos's goalkeeper Severiano Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Garruchos's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Seţeanu came free, but Severiano Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David De Gea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Almendra, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Guaberto Lizardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Garruchos defense, Juarês Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severiano Lawrence. The Garruchos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severiano Lawrence should have stopped the shot. David De Gea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Verna in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Timoteo Palben ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severiano Lawrence was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Severiano Lawrence was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Arnaldo Corderun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaldo Corderun really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. Garruchos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Timoteo Palben scored to the left of an out of position Severiano Lawrence, making the score, 7-0. Severiano Lawrence was a little too slow when Juarês Alves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 8-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The wind increased when Federico Verna made the kick off in the second half. 9-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Arnaldo Corderun elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Garruchos defense, Arnaldo Corderun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severiano Lawrence. The Garruchos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severiano Lawrence should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Corderun notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Garruchos's Severiano Lawrence. Severiano Lawrence was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 69 minutes into the match, Garruchos's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Seţeanu came free, but Severiano Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Schalke 04's Narciso Tonete was substituted for William Skoog. Garruchos's Severiano Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Corderun in the 78th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Garruchos's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Seţeanu came free, but Severiano Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Schalke 04's Mauro Vellito was substituted for Arnaldo Corderun. After 95 played minutes FC Schalke 04 got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Quentin.
