Leopoldo Sergi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaudencio Pelayo in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yngve Ödman saved Deportivo Iguazu from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Gaudencio Pelayo put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Yngve Ödman.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaudencio Pelayo to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Gaudencio Pelayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Yngve Ödman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miromir Wojton was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Fausto Txartiko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yngve Ödman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Pelayo in the 73rd minute of the match. The coaching staff of Deportivo Iguazu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dalmacio Ponc had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 92 played minutes La France got a freekick which was hit by Hernán Diaz. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Gaudencio Pelayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La France's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaudencio Pelayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Ödman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La France fully deserved thier win.
