After 16 minutes, Domingo Rufio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL FRANCIS ... and the C.A. Rosario Central players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomás Abaurre made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Alberto Matai sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, Luciano Ubendu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of C.A. Rosario Central's Luciano Matxin. Luciano Matxin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inocencio Mikelar struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Luciano Matxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL FRANCIS .... Ruben Eufrasio might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Abaurre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruben Eufrasio ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Abaurre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Eufrasio in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Ruben Eufrasio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Alberto Matai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alberto Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Eufrasio took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Abaurre. Tomás Abaurre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After some careless play in the EL FRANCIS ... defense, Ruben Eufrasio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Abaurre. The EL FRANCIS ... fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Abaurre should have stopped the shot. Ruben Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
