Camilo Richie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Urtsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Benedicto Soin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Richie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Ekain in the 33rd minute of play. Ruperto Llorenc made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FORTALESE's Eusebio Ferman. Manuel Urtsin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Richie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Teofilo Dubardo lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, FORTALESE's Eusebio Ferman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bernabe Berriotxoa.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Ekain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. There was no doubt that FORTALESE were the better team. FORTALESE's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
