Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ruud Gullit made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 2 minutes, Erubiel Ted managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erubiel Ted was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Gullit in the 7th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Camilo Sarracino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Uriel Pagomari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Empalme Graneros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uriel Pagomari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 9 played minutes Monteverde got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Pitin. In the 17thth minute of the game Ruud Gullit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monteverde's Camilo Sarracino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serafino Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Camilo Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ruud Gullit sped through Monteverde's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camilo Sarracino. Goel Keep was a little too slow when Erubiel Ted got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-1. Goel Keep made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Pastor Berenguer sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the game, Serafino Montez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Camilo Sarracino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute Ruud Gullit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pastor Berenguer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Goel Keep skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 38th match minute, Club Empalme Graneros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Bidari to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Pastor Berenguer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Ruud Gullit notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Monteverde's Camilo Sarracino. Camilo Sarracino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erubiel Ted made a kick off. The supporters of Monteverde booed when Club Empalme Graneros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Bézard didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ruud Gullit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gaudencio Urbasa came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Club Empalme Graneros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Urbasa couldn't finish the play. Club Empalme Graneros's Gaudencio Urbasa got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uriel Pagomari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Goel Keep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Ted, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 76th minute Pastor Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goel Keep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Ruud Gullit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Sarracino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After a rather tough play, Monteverde's Pastor Berenguer got a free kick in the 86th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Ruud Gullit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Empalme Graneros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruud Gullit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Pastor Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goel Keep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Empalme Graneros eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
