General Ramirez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernan Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 48 played minutes, General Ramirez FC's Natalio Hermon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donato Cefero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in General Ramirez FC reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Godfredo Hever managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Bulls FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Hever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Black Bulls FC's Juan Nesor got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, General Ramirez FC's goalkeeper Paulino Acevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Nesor. Natalio Hermon kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Fernan Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute.
