Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Desiderio Tristan kicked off to start the match. Leonel Banegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Julian Fero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gavino Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Frederico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Lluques's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Leonel Banegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Quinten in the 11th minute of play. Leonel Banegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Quinten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Danilo Quinten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Banegas. Herradura AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danilo Quinten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Gil fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Gil's Desiderio Tristan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 22 minutes into the match, Desiderio Tristan notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas. Leonel Banegas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gil's Gavino Frederico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Gil from getting a goal against them. Julian Fero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herradura AFC's Julian Fero got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Lluques in the 33rd minute of play forced Gil's goalkeeper Gavino Frederico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Tristan scored 0-4 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonel Banegas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the game, Gil's Desiderio Tristan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Banegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Gavino Frederico was a little too slow when Claudio Lluques got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 1-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The wind increased when Claudio Lluques made the kick off in the second half. Leonel Banegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Tristan in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Desiderio Tristan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonel Banegas, 1-6. With a little luck, Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas got control of the ball when Danilo Quinten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudio Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Frederico having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Herradura AFC's Claudio Lluques made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Frederico was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Quinten got free with Leonel Banegas in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Herradura AFC's Claudio Lluques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavino Frederico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Quinten got free with Leonel Banegas in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Tristan in the 79th minute of play. Desiderio Tristan kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gavino Frederico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Osmundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Leonel Banegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danilo Quinten. Claudio Lluques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Frederico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Gavino Frederico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Fero, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Claudio Lluques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Fero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 97 minutes, Claudio Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herradura AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Lluques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Gil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
