The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Ferdinand in the 6th minute of play forced Azterian FC's goalkeeper Filomeno Cerilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th match minute, Azterian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Lartaun to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Azterian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Cesaro came free, but Filomeno Cerilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Donato Bihar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Filomeno Cerilo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute, Donato Bihar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filomeno Cerilo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Filomeno Cerilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Deportivo Hernando booed when Azterian FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafin Rayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Dolfos in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Melquiades Cesaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filomeno Cerilo. Azterian FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Cesaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guillermo Lartaun to strike the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Cerilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Hernando's Efrain Caitano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filomeno Cerilo. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. Filomeno Cerilo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Abadie in the 58th minute. Deportivo Hernando's Efrain Caitano got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Ferdinand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Filomeno Cerilo made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Eriberto Ferdinand reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filomeno Cerilo. The goal made the score 0-7. Eriberto Ferdinand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Filomeno Cerilo made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Melquiades Cesaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filomeno Cerilo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Filomeno Cerilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Ikatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Deportivo Hernando's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
