To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filomeno Cerilo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Guillelme in the 17th minute. Javier Abaurre hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Tadeo Omero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filomeno Cerilo having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Endira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 79th minute Pedro Endira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Rocco FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
