After a defensive mix-up in Hernandarias's zone, Everardo Avellaneda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Medero came out of the goal and Everardo Avellaneda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, RamonaClub's Everardo Avellaneda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Honorato Chinto notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hernandarias's Niceto Medero. Niceto Medero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacobo Martxel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Tonio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Garoa in the 53rd minute. The referee ignored Hernandarias's protests and gave Teobaldo Iaki a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Hernandarias got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Iaki. Niceto Medero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd match minute, Hernandarias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Christobal to maneuver through the defense.
