The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Union de Sta Fe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Reyes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Tartagal FC booed when Union de Sta Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Hever didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Union de Sta Fe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Bernebe to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Leonardo Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Tartagal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Arlo came free, but Gogo Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Arlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Union de Sta Fe's goalkeeper Baldomiro Restu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Otsoa. The crowd rose to their feet as Tartagal FC's Victorio Otsoa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baldomiro Restu. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Baldomiro Restu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Iliana in the 22nd minute of the match. Baldomiro Restu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorio Otsoa in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorio Otsoa got free with Baldomiro Restu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Feliberto Bernebe hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Siro Iliana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tartagal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Iliana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Otsoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Baldomiro Restu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Tartagal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Zayas came free, but Gogo Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes Tartagal FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduardo Harriet who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Union de Sta Fe's corner Eduardo Harriet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gogo Merexildo quite easily take care of the ball. Gogo Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Arlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Union de Sta Fe's goalkeeper Baldomiro Restu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Otsoa. Baldomiro Restu made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Arsenio Faro sent off a good shot on target. Siro Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Baldomiro Restu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siro Iliana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomiro Restu having to make a save. In the 49th minute Tartagal FC were awarded a corner. Teobaldo Darien went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorio Otsoa made a kick off. Baldomiro Restu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siro Iliana's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Otsoa in the 57th minute of play forced Union de Sta Fe's goalkeeper Baldomiro Restu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Restu having to interfere. If Victorio Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baldomiro Restu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Otsoa in the 63rd minute of play. Union de Sta Fe's Baldomiro Restu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Otsoa in the 65th minute of play. Victorio Otsoa scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomiro Restu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Victorio Otsoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomiro Restu was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Victorio Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Restu having to interfere. Siro Iliana scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomiro Restu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tartagal FC's Astor Bittor was substituted for Siro Iliana. Baldomiro Restu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Otsoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Victorio Otsoa sped through Union de Sta Fe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baldomiro Restu. Baldomiro Restu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Otsoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Tartagal FC's Victorio Otsoa got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Victorio Otsoa notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Union de Sta Fe's Baldomiro Restu. Baldomiro Restu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 92 minutes into the game, Jairo Arlo lined in a short shot 5-1 behind a frustrated Gogo Merexildo. 97 minutes into the match, Union de Sta Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Otsoa came free, but Baldomiro Restu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Union de Sta Fe's Baldomiro Restu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Otsoa in the 98th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tartagal FC fully deserved thier win.
