Kostas Michas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingo Eutor didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Aquiles Chuse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kostas Michas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Adolfo Inko came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the West Ham United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Inko couldn't finish the play. In the 30th match minute, Sporting Veyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Chuse to maneuver through the defense. After 32 minutes, David Tiniebra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Veyn and the West Ham United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Veyn getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. David Tiniebra hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Adolfo Inko managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Ham United's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Inko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingo Eutor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Isaac Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aquiles Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostas Michas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Chuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Sporting Veyn's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Benat came free, but Domingo Eutor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Aquiles Chuse made the kick off in the second half. Sporting Veyn's Domingo Eutor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Inko in the 54th minute of play. Everardo Medero took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingo Eutor. Domingo Eutor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Everardo Medero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 60th minute, Enrique Goizeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pastor Benat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domingo Eutor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Ham United's goalkeeper Kostas Michas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celso Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Sporting Veyn defense, Ludomir Okropny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingo Eutor. The Sporting Veyn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Eutor should have stopped the shot. Pastor Benat charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. West Ham United had played much better football throughout.
