Ramon Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Eustacio Chano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Calisto got free with Astor Jakue in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Astor Jakue made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Sävström in the 13th minute. Ingvar Linqvist took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Astor Jakue. Astor Jakue dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Donato Pasqual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Astor Jakue made a huge save. In the 21stth minute of the game Ingvar Linqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmitas's Astor Jakue was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Académica FC's Eustacio Chano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Tono in the 23rd minute of play. Astor Jakue stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingvar Linqvist's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With a little luck, Palmitas's Astor Jakue got control of the ball when Donato Pasqual tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramon Tono's late challenge caught a Académica FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramon Tono helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Palmitas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Amador Bertin hit a great ball. Astor Jakue didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Académica FC's Sven-Edvin Sävström shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Sven-Edvin Sävström came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Académica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Edvin Sävström couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Gogo Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Jakue was a little too slow when Lázaro Barbosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 3-0. Urbano Oinaz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Edvin Sävström made a kick off. The supporters of Académica FC booed when Palmitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Sävström notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Palmitas's Astor Jakue. Astor Jakue was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Astor Jakue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Sävström in the 57th minute of the match. Astor Jakue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Sävström in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Lázaro Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Jakue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Palmitas getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ramon Tono hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Sven-Edvin Sävström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With 64 minutes on the clock, Elvio Ireno commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 65 played minutes Palmitas got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Ireno. Académica FC's Donato Pasqual got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Astor Jakue stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Edvin Sävström's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Lázaro Barbosa notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Palmitas's Astor Jakue. Astor Jakue was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Astor Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Palmitas getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mateo Lucian hit a great ball. Donato Gartzea charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Gartzea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Donato Gartzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingvar Linqvist took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Astor Jakue. Astor Jakue dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Sven-Edvin Sävström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Académica FC's Ingvar Linqvist in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmitas's goalie prevented a goal. Ingvar Linqvist scored 8-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Jakue, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Académica FC had played much better football throughout.
