The Los Picantes fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Los Picantes's Israel Bernabel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Danilo Aureo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conrado Marques having to make a save. Conrado Marques came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Picantes's Israel Bernabel. But to his dismay, Israel Bernabel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 30th minute, Danilo Aureo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Luzea during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Glenn Hughes getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mauro Luzea hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mauro Luzea was shown his second yellow card after 50 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 51 played minutes Deportivo Glenn Hughes got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Luzea. In the 53rd minute Los Picantes were awarded a corner. Genaro Bela went to the cornerflag to take it. After 57 played minutes Los Picantes got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Eneto. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo Eate during the 61st minute. Esteban Ovando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Poncio in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Los Picantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Ovando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Poncio in the 93rd minute of the match.
