Victoriano Millrick ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the game, Victoriano Millrick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gonzalo Lon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Los Picantes's zone, Nicolas Ilazki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Ovando came out of the goal and Nicolas Ilazki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonzalo Lon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Bernabel in the 16th minute of play. Tres Arroyos's Gonzalo Lon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Bernabel in the 18th minute of play. Israel Bernabel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Lon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Tres Arroyos got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Handi. The Tres Arroyos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Picantes were winning 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Israel Bernabel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Cipriano Krawczyk notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Tres Arroyos's Gonzalo Lon. Gonzalo Lon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the match, Tres Arroyos's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Bernabel came free, but Gonzalo Lon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Victoriano Millrick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. After 93 minutes, Albino Valery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tres Arroyos and the Los Picantes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Picantes booed when Tres Arroyos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Bela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Lon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Los Picantes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Picantes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
