The referee ignored Los Picantes's protests and gave Arnulfo Eneto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Arnulfo Eneto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Ovando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salbatore Zapico's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Gualterio Sadurni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gualterio Sadurni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Millrick in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of DIVISORIA booed when Los Picantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Resto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, DIVISORIA's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Bernabel came free, but Gualterio Sadurni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualterio Sadurni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Bernabel in the 41st minute of the match. When Salbatore Zapico came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the DIVISORIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salbatore Zapico couldn't finish the play. Gualterio Sadurni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Bernabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Walter Connor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Esteban Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Israel Bernabel was the one to do the kick off. In the 74th minute of the match Los Picantes got a corner. DIVISORIA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Genaro Bela ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Los Picantes's Genaro Bela to fire away a dangerous shot which Gualterio Sadurni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Esteban Ovando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Connor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Los Picantes's Arnulfo Eneto got a free kick in the 86th minute. 88 minutes in the game, Israel Bernabel dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Walter Connor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Picantes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
