In the 21st minute, Zakarias Penning made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Gonzo. Piquillín FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 24 minutes, Serafino Rico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piquillín FC and the Pillahuincó players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pillahuincó booed when Piquillín FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Sasoin in the 32nd minute of play forced Pillahuincó's goalkeeper Thiago Messi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zakarias Penning had several of the Piquillín FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Florentino Gonzo as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Emmanuel Dennis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Pillahuincó's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piquillín FC the free kick. Piquillín FC's Edelmiro Constancio was substituted for Serafino Rico. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zakarias Penning to make the kick off. Niceto Osorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Thiago Messi made a huge save. If Zakarias Penning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Orlan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Pillahuincó were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
