Thiago Messi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Marquez in the 17th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmanuel Dennis couldn't finish the play. AFC Villa Raquel's Romulo Guilabertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zakarias Penning in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Pillahuincó's Zakarias Penning ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romulo Guilabertus. Romulo Guilabertus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When Zakarias Penning came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Pillahuincó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zakarias Penning couldn't finish the play. Zakarias Penning struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Romulo Guilabertus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pillahuincó. 66 minutes into the game, AFC Villa Raquel's Jorge Bero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Messi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. AFC Villa Raquel's Romulo Baldovino was substituted for Jorge Bero. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Villa Raquel's zone, Lucimar Lucio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Guilabertus came out of the goal and Lucimar Lucio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th play minute Emmanuel Dennis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Romulo Guilabertus. 2-3. In the 83rd minute, Zakarias Penning reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romulo Guilabertus. The goal made the score 2-4. Thiago Messi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Cheche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emmanuel Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Guilabertus having to interfere. The Pillahuincó players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
