The supporters of Gardey FC booed when Florida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Quinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Quinto charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pastor Quinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Florida FC's Pastor Quinto got a free kick in the 11th minute. Pedro Malvin's late challenge caught a Florida FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Malvin helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Josh De Lucca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gardey FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josh De Lucca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Vachon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gardey FC's goalkeeper David Johnsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match Americo Lando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Johnsson skillfully saved the ball. Dionisio Hanni kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Florida FC's Felix Vachon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Refugio in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Ladislao Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Cesar Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg David Johnsson managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Florida FC's Aristides Jerrold fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 40th minute Dionisio Hanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Hanni kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Josh De Lucca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Dionisio Hanni made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Ladislao Refugio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gardey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Refugio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Refugio in the 56th minute of play. Felix Vachon stood somewhat misplaced when Ladislao Refugio came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 57 minute. 66 minutes into the game, Aristides Jerrold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. David Johnsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dionisio Hanni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Johnsson having to make a save. After 73 minutes of play, Gardey FC's Josh De Lucca made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Vachon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gardey FC's David Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Jerrold in the 79th minute of play. Aristides Jerrold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
