If Juan Gorbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Onyewuchi Obikwelu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Montez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Ariel Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onyewuchi Obikwelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Rogelio Heriberto fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seven Box's protests and gave Rogelio Heriberto a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Seven Box got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Heriberto. The audience was convinced that Onyewuchi Obikwelu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Montez was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Onyewuchi Obikwelu had several of the Seven Box's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Ariel Montez as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 55th minute Onyewuchi Obikwelu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onyewuchi Obikwelu in the 58th minute of play forced Seven Box's goalkeeper Ariel Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Siro Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MILTON f.c.'s Alvaro Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ariel Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Ruisko in the 96th minute of play.
