Donato Eladio might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Johnsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Eladio ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugenio Puja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Johnsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Donato Eladio took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for David Johnsson to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Gardey FC's zone, Donato Eladio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Johnsson came out of the goal and Donato Eladio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th match minute, Gardey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Refugio to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Los del sur F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Refugio came free, but Mariano Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josh De Lucca in the 40th minute of play forced Los del sur F. C's goalkeeper Mariano Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Frascuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Markel, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A collision led to Los del sur F. C getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Maximo Villarinos hit a great ball.

Los del sur F. C were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Gardey FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Barto took the corner. Donato Eladio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 57 minutes into the match, Los del sur F. C's Donato Eladio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Johnsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
