The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Medardo got free with Fulgencio Corderro in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CAYASTA II's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Santamarina's zone, Leonardo Medardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Corderro came out of the goal and Leonardo Medardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Santamarina's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Medardo came free, but Fulgencio Corderro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Bartolo Suarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Fulgencio Corderro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

55 minutes into the match, Leonardo Medardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Corderro. Santamarina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Medardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Vasile Dragomir charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasile Dragomir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vasile Dragomir hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Marcelino Nafarroa got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Severo Ramond. Fulgencio Corderro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Medardo went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santamarina players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CAYASTA II.
