Deportivo Maria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Globo Juniors the free kick. In the 8th minute, Santiago Jordy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltasar Dominguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Suero in the 11th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Deportivo Maria got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Osmundo. In the 17th minute of the match, Arnaldo Suero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baltasar Dominguez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Maria's zone, Arnaldo Suero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Dominguez came out of the goal and Arnaldo Suero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes Globo Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Neto. In the 26th minute of the match Korneliusz Kaczanka sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Francisco Lucas skillfully saved the ball. Zacarias Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Lucas having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Deportivo Maria's Gustavo Gutxi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Francisco Lucas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Suero in the 34th minute of play forced Deportivo Maria's goalkeeper Baltasar Dominguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bairon Iriarte charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bairon Iriarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bairon Iriarte hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Eriberto Mendiko struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. João Francisco Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Maria.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacarias Osmundo made a kick off. Baltasar Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Suero in the 53rd minute of the match. Deportivo Maria's Baltasar Dominguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Suero in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Globo Juniors getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Casimiro Porfiro hit a great ball. João Francisco Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Beltrán, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 66th minute Gustavo Gutxi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Francisco Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Beltrán in the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Maria's zone, Arnaldo Suero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Dominguez came out of the goal and Arnaldo Suero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Zacarias Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Maria's João Francisco Lucas threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucas Beltrán, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tadeo Raulo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Aílton Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Globo Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Maria the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Globo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Neto to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Maria's Bairon Iriarte shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by João Francisco Lucas but with some difficulty. 93 minutes into the match, Deportivo Maria's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Bautista came free, but Baltasar Dominguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Maria were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
