An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Llin in the 30th minute of play forced Pujol's goalkeeper Christian Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Llin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute of the match Froilan Ayala shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Llorienzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Pujol's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Llin came free, but Christian Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Omar Salomone fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RIVER PLATE FC's protests and gave Omar Salomone a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for RIVER PLATE FC! When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Pujol's Ubaldo Niguel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. In the 45th minute Gualterio Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Mundo in the 73rd minute of play forced Pujol's goalkeeper Christian Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th play minute Nicolas Llin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christian Llorienzo. 1-7. Nicolas Llin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Christian Llorienzo made a huge save. 81 minutes into the match, Pujol's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Mundo came free, but Christian Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Mendiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Christian Llorienzo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Christian Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Mundo in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Pujol's goalkeeper Christian Llorienzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Llin. In the 94th minute, Nicolas Llin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Llorienzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. When the final whistle sounded RIVER PLATE FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pujol.
